View allFrequently asked questions
Do I need a visa for China?
Yes, most nationalities must apply in advance. Many major cities allow a 144-hour transit exemption if you hold an onward ticket to a third country.
When should I visit China?
April–May and September–October are most comfortable. Avoid Golden Week (1–7 October) and Chinese New Year, when sites are overwhelmed.
How do payments work in China?
The country is largely cashless, running on Alipay and WeChat Pay, both of which now accept international cards. We help you set this up before departure.
Is the language barrier a problem?
Outside major hotels, English is limited. We assign an English-speaking guide for the length of the itinerary.
