How comfortable is a yurt stay?
Song-Kul yurts are basic: floor mattresses, a stove, shared outdoor toilets, no mains power and no phone signal. Nights drop below 5°C even in midsummer.
When is Song-Kul accessible?
Mid-June to mid-September only. Outside that the passes hold snow and the herding families have moved their animals down to the valleys.
