Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book the Sagrada Família and Alhambra?

Yes. The Alhambra caps daily visitors and often sells out one to two months ahead; the Sagrada Família uses timed entry. We book both in advance.

How do I travel between Spanish cities?

AVE high-speed rail is excellent: Madrid–Barcelona 2h30, Madrid–Seville 2h30, Seville–Granada 2h30. Advance fares are much cheaper.

What are Spanish meal times?

Lunch runs 2–3:30pm and dinner starts around 9pm; many restaurants do not open before 8:30pm. Smaller shops close in the afternoon for siesta.

Is Andalusia too hot in July–August?

Very — Seville and Córdoba regularly exceed 40°C. In summer, sightsee early and late and rest at midday.

B Bùi Ngọc Diệp · Family Trip Việt Nam A very good trip; you just have to adjust to the late dinners.
